At the invitation of Columbia University's Center for Science and Society, Collegium Fellow Prof. Dr. Andreas Friedolin Lingg will speak at a public event about one of the most fascinating examples of historical economic power—the city of Venice.
The lecture will focus on Lingg's research on the spatial, industrial, and social conditions of economic prosperity. Using Venetian history as an example, he will show how urban structures, production, and economic growth interacted and what new perspectives this offers for understanding prosperity.
As a guest speaker, Andreas Friedolin Lingg will contribute his research to international academic and public discourse, while also highlighting how the work of the St. Gallen Collegium's fellows has an impact beyond academic and geographical boundaries.
