The St. Gallen Collegium is pleased to announce the participation of its Fellow Daniel Trusilo in this year’s Young Humanitarian Summit 2026.
The Young Humanitarian Summit 2026 brings together young professionals, students, and leading practitioners to reflect on The Future of Humanitarianism. Against a backdrop of increasingly complex conflicts and mounting pressure on humanitarian norms, the Summit creates a space for critical dialogue on how humanitarian action can remain principled, effective, and forward-looking.
As a Fellow of the St. Gallen Collegium, Daniel Trusilo will contribute to this international forum by leading a full workshop on Humanitarian Notification Systems (HNS) and deconfliction. This highly specialized yet crucial mechanism of humanitarian coordination remains little known in academic circles, despite its direct relevance for civilian protection and operational effectiveness in conflict zones.
By engaging participants in the operational logic and challenges of HNS and deconfliction mechanisms, Trusilo bridges theory and practice, exemplifying the Collegium’s mission to connect academic reflection with real-world responsibility.
His participation highlights the global engagement of the St. Gallen Collegium and its fellows’ active role in shaping debates on the most pressing issues today.
